The poster contest is designed to provide an opportunity for exhibitors to enter a special poster competition. Members should enter a poster related to their project. Posters will be exhibited in the junior fair block building for the duration of the fair.
- All poster contest participants must take their posters to the entertainment building on the Sunday before fair week, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to be displayed. The poster does not have to be prejudged unless it is part of your project needed for miscellaneous judging.
- Exhibitors may enter only one poster.
- Posters will be entered in one of three divisions according to age. (age as of January 1 of the current year.)
- Posters will be judged on the Monday before fair week.
- Posters winning first place at the Seneca County Fair are not eligible to compete.
- The only size accepted is 22″ x 14″ & corkboards are not allowed for any poster contest!
- The exhibitors’ name & club need to be on the back of the poster only.
- Posters will be judged on the following criteria:
- Neatness
- Tells a story -shows originality and creativity
- Relates to the 4-H project listed
- An appropriate amount of reading for the size.
- Composition – includes – balance, color, coordinates, size, and print.
